A service of Lessons and Carols, with a special Children’s Moment message for the little ones in our midst. This service will also include candle lighting as we remember the night of Jesus’ birth and the light of God coming into our world.
11:00 p.m. — Late Service with Holy Communion
This service will be a bit more meditative and reflective than the Family Service. This service will also include candle lighting, as well as the celebration of Holy Communion. We will end at midnight, with the joy of knowing that the day of Jesus’ birth has arrived.
Stories and Songs of Christmas
Sunday, December 29th
Combined Service at 10:30am
On December 29th, our entire congregation will again join together for one worship service at 10:30am, as we bask in the warm afterglow of the Christmas flurry. We’ll sing favorite carols and hear Christmas stories old and new. All ages are welcome!
Sunday, January 5th
Regular Worship Schedule Resumes
The Christmas Season lasts for a total of twelve days, reaching its end on the day of Epiphany with the celebration of the magi who visited Jesus from the East. We will celebrate Epiphany Sunday on January 5th at our 9am (Contemporary) and 10:30am (Traditional) worship services.
Also on that Sunday, we will also join together in the Methodist tradition of the "Wesleyan Covenant Renewal Service," which was first celebrated in 1755. This service is traditionally held on or near New Year's Day, and is an opportunity to renew our commitment to God and to a life of Christian discipleship.
After worship, the congregation is invited to help take down the decorations from the Christmas Season.
